“Last year, we met in person with Reading Bakery Systems regional manager, Joe Pocevicius. He encouraged us to visit Düsseldorf for the international Interpack 2023 exhibition, where many major food exhibitors will be present. So we can expand our professional network and knowledge.” – said Zsolt Györök, Head of Györök Ltd. – from GyörökGép division.
Finally, on behalf of Györök Ltd, the company manager Zsolt Györök and sales manager Attila Bauman travelled to Düsseldorf. Interpack 2023 exceeded all expectations.
Interpack 2023 exhibition in numbers
Interpack is back after 6 years, from 4th to 10th May 2023. It delivered on its promise and exceeded exhibitors’ expectations: the world’s largest and most important packaging trade fair, which connected the industry on a global scale and acted as both a marketplace and an innovative exhibition centre.
2,807 exhibitors from more than 61 countries gathered in Düsseldorf on 179,000 square metres. The number of visitors was nearly 143,000 from 155 countries, many of them with a definite purchase intention. In addition to many European countries, India, Japan and the United States were the most represented.
This year’s Interpack has certainly proved to be one of the most important exhibitions in its history. The current market situation shows a changing picture, with increased demand for automation, the importance of sustainability and changing consumer habits. Strategically, the exhibition was organised around 4 major themes: the Economic Cycle, Resource Management, Digital Technologies and Product Safety. These were reflected in a number of innovations and demonstrated that packaging technologies are making great strides towards sustainable and environmentally conscious solutions.
Our colleagues experience
“The goal was not only to learn about professional novelties and innovative developments, but also to meet face-to-face with known and potential partners. We also discussed with several exhibitors the possibility of future cooperation on machine installation. The size of the exhibition, and the huge number of visitors, exceeded our expectations. Food processing and packaging machinery was the main focus, but electronics and computer developments were also in the spotlight.” – said Attila Bauman, Sales Manager.
“We were also pleased to visit the Reading Bakery Systems stand, where several baking machines were on display. We also met Joe Pocevicius and his colleagues to briefly discuss our joint projects. The stand was very impressive and they demonstrated their Continuous Mixing baking machine, which ensures greater efficiency and more consistent quality. The use of this machine provides the same quality of the raw product all day long, overcoming the quality problems caused by batch cycles . We came home with many new experiences and professional contacts. After a few days, we are still under the influence of what we saw. We will definitely visit Interpack 2026! “– said Zsolt Györök, CEO.
